Amenities
The neighborhood, by people who live in it.
Mediterranean Revival streets, the Biltmore, and the Miracle Mile — the Gables is where Miami slows down without losing its edge. Here's where we'd send our own friends.
Threefold Cafe
Australian-style brunch the locals are mildly upset got famous. Smashed avo and the ricotta hotcakes.
4 min walkCaffe Abbracci
White-tablecloth Italian, open since 1989. Go early; the bar is a scene.
6 min driveBooks & Books
Mitchell Kaplan's flagship — the kind of independent bookstore people fly in to visit.
5 min walkBachour
Antonio Bachour is a James Beard semifinalist. The pastry case alone justifies the trip.
8 min driveThe Venetian Pool
Built in 1924 from a coral-rock quarry — caves, waterfalls, a grotto.
7 min driveFairchild Tropical Garden
83 acres of rainforest and a butterfly conservatory. Best in the cool months.
14 min driveWhat people actually say.
SoFLA actually picks up the phone. We had a question at 9pm and Andy himself walked us through where to park. Not the Vrbo experience.
The kitchen is a real kitchen. We cooked four nights and the unit was easier to live in than our apartment. Shops at Merrick Park is genuinely a five-minute walk.
Booked for a month while we house-hunted. Pet-friendly, professional, and the recommendations list they sent before arrival was better than the concierge at the Biltmore.
If you've stayed at the boutique hotels on Miracle Mile, this is more space, better light, and you keep the keys. The rooftop is the whole point.
